General Motors announced the ZZ632 crate engine in late 2021. This gave hot rodders and racers an off-the-shelf, high-horsepower, large-displacement option they could order that runs on pump gas.
That’s great, right? Yes, it is.
However, this engine is based on a GEN 5 or GEN 6 style block, which has a one-piece rear main seal. That means you need an oil pan that fits the block, clears the stroke, delivers performance, and fits the car it’s going into.
That’s where some of our oil pans come into play.
The three oil pans that Doug goes over in the video below give builders options that clear the 4.75” stroke crank, provide excellent oil capacity and control, and offer proper chassis fitment.
The 21051 is the pan you’ll need for your street car. The sump dimensions make it ideal for vehicles with stock crossmembers. At 8” deep, 10.625” wide, and 8.75” front to back, it holds 6 quarts of oil (not including the filter) and, most importantly, provides the clearance needed to fit the ZZ632 in
We’re very excited to bring our new Billet Breather Tank Catch Cans to market—crankcase ventilation done right.
For years, racers have used makeshift solutions like wrapping the filter elements on breather tanks with rags, wristbands, or other materials to prevent fluid from being pushed out during a run.
These new billet tanks eliminate that problem, all while maintaining a clean, premium look.
Machined from billet aluminum and finished in black anodizing, these tanks are built to last for years to come.
Each tank ships with a matching black anodized billet bracket, allowing you to mount it wherever works best. Clocking the fitting(s) is as simple as loosening a single socket head cap screw.
A 1/4” NPT drain at the bottom makes servicing and draining the tank quick and easy.
With an overall height of 8.8”, the tank offers a great balance between engine bay space and fluid capacity.
There are plenty of line options available, ranging from -8 to -12 on dual-inlet tanks and up to -16 on single-inlet

This engine should easily eclipse the 1,000 horsepower mark on the dyno, and the best part about it, is that you can win this engine by simply heading to www.enginelabsgiveaway.com and entering for free."
Welcome to Horsepower Wars Season 4, the C10 Shootout presented by Summit Racing. After a 100-mile drag-and-drive, it’s LT vs Coyote as two 1,400-horsepower turbocharged Chevy C10s go head-to-head at the track to settle the score. Follow both teams through the cruise, tuning, chaos, and clutch moments as consistency, durability, and outright speed decide the winner. Wrecks, comebacks, and a photo-finish finale—this one has it all.
In Episode 5 of the C10 Shootout presented by Summit Racing, Bigun and Big 3 wrap up the trucks just in time to test ahead of the competition. Chassis dyno numbers are revealed and (spoiler alert) it looks like both engines are making a bit more power than the engine dyno now that they are exhaling easier and can rev all the way out. One more episode to go as we head into our epic drag and drive competition. Stay tuned!
"When last we visited the build, Project T-Rex (a restomod 1974 TVR 2500M with a 5.0L Ford Coyote powerplant) received its important driveline components: A McLeod “Mag Force” dual-disc clutch assembly, a TREMEC TKX five-speed transmission, and an SFI 43.1-rated chrome moly driveshaft from Mark Williams Enterprises that was mated to the Art Morrison Enterprises Multi-Link IRS via a Sonnax yoke. The finishing touch came in the form of a custom-built four-inch shift handle."
"When most of us talk about a dry-sump oiling system, we are usually focused on the scavenge side, since that is the star of the show. However, the pressure side..."
"Whether it’s a muscle car, that old Chevy pickup, or a pre-war hot rod, we all have a project in the garage that we wish we could get back on the road."
