1971 Camaro Crushes Bonneville Salt Flats Record (260 MILES PER HOUR!)

"After successfully competing in the Utah Salt Flats Racing Association (USFRA) in the 130–150 mph classes with a ’73 Camaro, Gary Spencer knew he wanted to go faster. He also knew that he wanted to remain behind the wheel of a chassis that was already familiar to him. The only issue was finding another car to build..."

1100 Horsepower Big Block, Naturally Aspirated!

"When Chevrolet Performance released the ZZ632 632 cubic-inch 1,000 horsepower crate engine, there really wasn’t much anyone could say other than, “Wow.” But, the ZZ632 is far from a perfect program — as the engine’s availability since launch is wait-list-only. And once you do have the beast in your possession, the factory ECU is locked out. So cracking into it voids the engine’s warranty.

Prestige Motorsports, in conjunction with Holley, have come up with an engine combination not only to match the orange monster, but surpass the bar it set by an easy 100 horsepower. Formula Drift 2023 - RD4 The Gauntlet.

This past weekend, the Moroso team got to spend some time at the fourth round of Formula Drift 2023 - The Gauntlet. The last FD event we attended as a company was OSW Florida, back in 2019, and we have to say, it was great to be back out there with all the fans, drivers and teams, and our customers.

On top of that, it was at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey! What used to be a legendary drag strip, is now a stadium DRIFT course!

The weather wasn’t great, with lots of clouds, some rain, and lots of humidity. Even then, the fans showed up in droves, ready to see their favorite drivers rip around the course. In between runs, spectators could enjoy a car show, meet and greets with the drivers, and a vendor area where all sorts of companies in the industry were showing off, selling product and answering questions.

Years later, it still seems there’s staple engine swaps that lots of teams run because of power potential, the ability to take lots of abuse, and lots of parts support.
