Moroso re-releases the vintage “GRUMPY’S TOYS ARE BUILT WITH MOROSO PRODUCTS” poster.
Back in the 1970’s as an homage to his close friend, and being the great marketer that he was, Dick Moroso had a poster commissioned called “GRUMPY’S TOYS” ARE BUILT WITH MOROSO PRODUCTS. The posters were an instant success and quickly sold out. In the decades since the poster was introduced racing fans and Moroso customers have been clamoring for another run of the now iconic poster featuring “Grumpy” hard at work on his “toys”.
In 2011 Moroso took the first step in bringing “Grumpy’s Toys” back. A vintage style t-shirt was issued featuring the poster art on the back. Since “Grumpy’s” death Moroso’s company representatives have been asked repeatedly when another run of the poster was going to be released. Racing fans...the wait is over. “The Grump” lives!
On March 29, 2012 the Drag Race Community lost a true visionary who helped shape what Drag Racing and the industry behind it is today. Moroso Performance Products appreciates the projects that Bill Jenkins and our company worked on together and the friendship that he had with Dick Moroso. May every day of his now smell of race fuel, the pride of proofing out one of his theories and the satisfaction that he received from all of his earned victories.
Here we are at our 45th Anniversary, it seems like yesterday when I was sitting down
and writing the letter for our 40th Anniversary. Time flies when you love what you are
doing and are surrounded by a group of co-workers that feel the same way. One
aspect of the Moroso family of companies that I am most proud of is the dedicated
staff of employees that work here. There are a lot of employees who have worked here
25 plus years, and many more who plan on doing the same. What this means to you,
our customer, is that when you buy one of our products from small to large dollar, there
was thought, experience, dedication and emotion going into that item.
For our 45th Anniversary, we are introducing over 160 new products, which again has
added another 8 pages to our extensive catalog. We are here to stay and are excited
about what the next 45 years have in store for the industry and our company.
