The 5th Annual Moroso Performance Charity Car Show benefiting the CT Children’s Foundation was a tremendous success, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our car community, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees.
After the rain forecast forced us to postpone to an entirely different weekend, we didn't know what to expect for a turnout. Well, the car community showed up and showed out; nearly 400 cars rolled through the gates for a day filled with incredible vehicles, great conversations, familiar faces, and a shared passion for the car community. From classics and muscle cars to imports, trucks, and everything in between, the show featured an amazing assortment of vehicles from across New England and the Tri-State area. One of the best parts of the day was seeing so many returning friends and familiar faces alongside new faces joining us for the first time. The enthusiasm and generosity of everyone who attended made the event truly special. Most importantly,Penelope Moroso

Thank you! Although it was not the day we expected, the Second Annual Moroso Charity Car Show was a blast! Due to weather conditions, we were forced to switch to our rain date and share the day with two other major shows in Connecticut. Despite that, we still welcomed over 200 show cars and raised over $5,400 for Connecticut Children’s. We couldn’t have done it without the help of our employees, volunteers, and our generous sponsors, including M&T Bank, Guilford Texaco, Hammonasset Service Station and more. We would also like to recognize the CT Shoreline Cars and Coffee group, who we’ve connected with this year and helped us raise over $1,000 before the show even started. Thank you to everyone who came out this year, we’re excited to welcome you back at our next event!
Winners:
Grand Champion: Al Vacco, 1939 Ford Deluxe
First Runner Up: John Cote, 1956 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible
People’s Choice: John Cote, 1956 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible
Best Racecar: Scott MacDonald, 1994 Chevy

From their website:
We are a group of car enthusiasts who began meeting in 2020 during Covid as a way to get outside and enjoy each others automobiles.
Our motto is "If it has wheels, bring it...and we like dogs too". Everyone is welcome... classic cars, antique cars, muscle cars, foreign cars, project cars (in progress too), old cars, new cars, bikes and trucks!
We meet every other Sunday at our new home located at Moroso Performance Products at 80 Carter Drive, Guilford, CT. Coffee / breakfast items can be purchased at the event. There is a minimum entrance fee of $2 a car as well as a free will donation bucket to a cover our costs.
There is no judgement and nooooooo burnouts, no speeding and no engine revving. It's not that kind of meet up.
Each summer, Club Corvette of Connecticut conducts one of the largest Corvette-only judged shows in the Northeast. For several years, the event has featured more than 250 examples of Corvettes in varying vintages and styles, representing all facets of the model’s 65-year history. Cars on display range from original C1s from the 1950s, to all sorts of modified ‘Vettes, to the newest mid-engine C8s.
The public is invited to come and experience in person the quintessential American sports car and its rich history. Vendors will be on-site offering Corvette and automotive memorabilia for sale; a variety of foods, beverages and other refreshments should also be available for purchase.
Net proceeds from the show are donated to the club’s adopted charity, The Ronald McDonald House, and other Connecticut charities.
SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! DUE TO WEATHER, THE CAR SHOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO SUNDAY!

"The best way to see what a car can do is to take it to the track. Project Number Cruncher’s racing career started with NHRA license runs at National Trail Raceway and from there, it was time to make some more hits. So, we decided to get more laps on the car at the biggest gathering of LS-powered vehicles in the world, Holley LS Fest."
